After Prime Minister Sebastian Kurz resigned after the bribery and corruption scandals in Austria, hot developments continue to occur.

After Kurz’s resignation, Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg is expected to take the post of Prime Minister. Michael Linhart, the Austrian Ambassador to France, will take over the post vacant from Schallenberg.

Linhart, who was foreign affairs adviser to Wolfgang Schuessel when he was Prime Minister, will be sworn in at the same ceremony as Schallenberg and become the new Foreign Minister.
